So N*E*R*D “In Search Of” turns 15 and boy does this album bring back memories. Such a nostalgic composition that helped influenced my scene generation.

Moruf: Loosies

by

MorufV18

I’ve been following Moruf for quite sometime and it’s been pretty impressive seeing his development as an artist. From our first introduction through our the NJ Klan fam (now well known & as the killer amazing duo Ho9099) , his performances at our Gotham Kafè/Kafè King & A.L.I.E.N. events to where he’s at now, has shown his ambition and his ability to make a stamp in his genre. His latest EP drop titled Loosies was an enjoyable vibe and even features guest production from our hommie Vesa. Keep up the good vibrations Mo.

Quan Luv x Wyclef ?

QuanLuv-WyclefJean

While surfing and browsing youtube, I came across an old Wyclef music video I was spotted getting my dance on in. It was a remix to Wyclef’s original song, party to damascus featuring Tego Calderon. This video I believe dropped in the early 2000’s (2003?) & during this time period I was interning at Mass Appeal magazine while making ends meet working as a freelance dance choreographer. Ya boy had on a white pimp suit while two stepping like it was his birthday.

Nirvana: Smells Like Teen Spirit

Current Mood. As artists, we know more than anyone that things can be bit overwhelming & that the struggle is real but when you really get into your mode & focus on your craft, you begin to reminisce on the things that originally inspired you prior to money being a factor. When it was just about, doing it because it brought you satisfaction, sanity and overall euphoria. Back in the day, all it took was that one individual to recognize your work of art to bring a sense of gratification & sometimes that was extra icing on the cake because you already appreciated your own work. Never forget who you are and how talented you are, regardless if the immediate response is not what you expected.
